Angelos Begeisterung für das Ballett wurde durch den Unterricht an der ASD Tersicore´s in seiner Heimatstadt Palermo geweckt. Danach stand sein Berufswunsch fest: Profi-Tänzer! Es folgte ein Jahr an der Ballett-Akademie der Hochschule für Musik und Theater München. Dank der Kooperation der Akademie mit dem Bayerischen Staatsballett war er regelmäßig in Vorstellungen am Nationaltheater eingebunden. Von 2017 bis 2021 besuchte er die John Cranko Schule – und hatte dort ebenfalls reichlich Gelegenheit, Bühnenluft zu schnuppern, in den Programmen der John Cranko Schule und natürlich bei den Klassikern des Stuttgarter Balletts. Nach seinem Abschluss im Sommer 2021 arbeitete er im Corps de Ballet am Ballett der Pariser Oper. Bei den Gauthier Dance JUNIORS sieht er noch mehr Entfaltungsmöglichkeiten – und freut sich auf die Rückkehr in seine Tanzheimat – Stuttgart.
Angelo fell in love with ballet in the classes at ASD Tersicore´s in his hometown of Palermo. From then on, his ambition was clear: to become a professional dancer! For one year, he trained with the Ballet Academy of the University of Music and Performing Arts Munich, where he was regularly involved in performances at the National Theatre, thanks to the academy´s cooperation with the Bavarian State Ballet. From 2017 to 2021, he attended the John Cranko School in Stuttgart – and also had plenty of opportunities to get a taste of the stage there, in the programmes of the John Cranko School and, of course, in the classics of the Stuttgart Ballet. After graduating in the summer of 2021, he worked as a corps de ballet member with the Paris Opera Ballet. The Gauthier Dance JUNiORS offers him even more space for personal growth as well as the chance to return to the city that became his artistic home – Stuttgart.
