Set at the centre of singer-DJ-Stellah Capella’s global disco Empire, where images are reality and vice versa, top financial wizard Derran is frantically seeking Stellah as his dream partner. But he is not alone. Appearing on screens in her chain of clubs across the globe, Stellah’s challenging songs have electrified young minds world wide. But who is Stellah Capella?
As excitement over Stellah’s upcoming live tour grows, Derran is determined to meet his dream in person before her fan base becomes even more forbidding. But how? It’s almost impossible to get past her protective father-cum- business manager Ricky who rarely leaves her side. Ricky promotes the disco empire by claiming to promote charitable causes and drug-free living worldwide. Nevertheless, the empire is now worth billions on the stock market.
The play starts as Derran encounters Meena, a cleaner in Stella’s disco bistro. Could Meena somehow help Derran come into contact with Stellah? Meena, a refugee medic who’s having problems with her refugees status. agrees to help Derran seek the impossible if he agrees to help her. Together they begin to uncover the dark secrets of Stellah and Ricky’s global empire.
Featuring Stellah’s songs and DJ acts, the play tackles the dangers and blessings of Artificial Intelligence as well as the ago old struggle between romantic infatuation and “true love.”
