Joan grew up in the dance city of Barcelona and benefited enormously from the first-rate training on offer. Not only was he a student at Ballet Ruso Barcelona and the Yerakhavets Ballet Academy, but he also graduated in classical dance from the Conservatori Professional de Dansa Institut del Teatre there. From 2021 to 2023 he danced with the famous young company IT Dansa, which is also affiliated with the Institut del Teatre Barcelona – and has regularly provided Gauthier Dance with great young performers. With IT Dansa, Joan gained a wealth of stage experience in pieces by star choreographers such as Akram Khan, Ohad Naharin, Alexander Ekman, Cayetano Soto or Lorena Nogal. Joan joined the Gauthier Dance JUNIORS for the 2023/24 season.
