Alexandra Policaro

American born dancer Alex Policaro began her training as a Kennedy Center Award scholar at the Alvin Ailey School in New York City, and later attended the University of Southern California’s Glorya Kaufman School of Dance. Upon completing her education, she went on to dance with BalletX in Philadelphia, the Oldenburgisches Staatstheater, and most recently, Staatsballett Hannover. Throughout her career, Alexandra has performed works by renowned choreographers such as Sharon Eyal, Marco Goecke, William Forsythe, Jiří Kylián, and Aszure Barton. As a result, she soon felt at home when she joined Gauthier Dance in the 2025/26 season – for, besides many new encounters, she was able to build on much that was familiar to her within the company’s repertoire.
